As a neurodivergent and experienced social worker with over 20 years of applied practice, Byron brings a unique perspective to therapy. His journey includes a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master’s in Social Work focused on childhood trauma. He has worked with diverse populations, including youth with problematic sexual behaviors, adults recovering from substance use disorders, and families involved in foster care and adoption. Trained in the Nurturing Fathers Program and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Byron employs a trauma-informed, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, and strengths-based approach. His personal experiences and professional expertise equip me to support clients in overcoming life’s challenges and achieving their therapeutic goals.
