Christie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Community Services, with a concentration in Family Services, from Siena Heights University. She completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling in 2019 at Siena Heights University. Christie currently provides mental health counseling services to students ages 13-18 enrolled in Mason High School. She was an intern for Child and Family Charities during her final year in graduate school, in 2018-2019. Following graduation, she worked for the Early Intervention Services program at Community Mental Health- Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, where she provided home-based therapy services to clients ages 0-6 and their families, using the Infant Mental Health model. She also earned her Infant Mental Health Specialist designation from MI-AIMH. She rejoined Child and Family Charities in 2024 as a therapist at Mason High School. Christie is passionate about empowering youth to advocate for their emotional health and well-being. She utilizes evidence-based practices including Person Centered approach and Motivational Interviewing to build rapport and trusting relationships with her students. As a lifelong learner, Christie is dedicated to expanding her knowledge base to include more treatment modalities, so she can best serve the students she serves.
