Shared-housing in a large living environment. Can live with up to 12 other youth and their dependent child(ren). Two persons per bedroom with attached bathroom. Shared common areas include kitchen/dining, living room, laundry room, and outdoor space.
Youth may live in transitional housing up to 18 months
Youth must sign a program/occupancy agreement as a condition of residency
Rent expectations: Residents are expected to meet with their case manager a minimum of monthly to review the prior months household income and pay 30% of that income toward household expenses such as (rent, utilities, food, transportation, clothing, prescription co-pays). This helps youth learn how to budget their monthly income and prepare to take over their household expenses when they move into permanent housing. Those funds are retained in a CFC savings account and returned to the youth when they leave the program to assist with the start-up costs of permanent housing
