Georgia Bayerl has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Michigan State University. She has over ten years of experience working with infants, toddlers and young children from vulnerable families. Before becoming a therapist at Child and Family Charities, Georgia worked with pregnant mothers, infants and young children who were experiencing difficult life circumstances across a variety of environments. She has a background in university research, school, domestic violence shelter, in-home and mental health clinic settings. Georgia seeks to provide warmhearted, understanding and collaborative trauma therapy services to infants, young children, and adolescents, as well as their families. In her practice, she focuses on supporting children and caregivers using relationship-focused, multi-faceted, trauma-informed, and evidence-based interventions tailored to the individual needs of her clients. She uses a holistic and person-centered approach to create a safe space to heal trauma, deepen connections and work through emotional and developmental challenges. Georgia is committed to providing individual-affirming care and maintaining safety for all in the therapeutic environment.
