Mariah earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree, with a minor in Gender Studies, from Central Michigan University. She then continued her education to earn her Master of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University. She is passionate about working with families, as reflected in her previous professional experience working in early childhood, child welfare, youth direct care, and transitional living services. Most recently, Mariah was a therapist working with birthing persons of color, utilizing interventions for pre/post-partum mood disorders and Infant Mental Health to increase social and emotional development for infants and families. Mariah is excited to rejoin Child and Family Charities as the Adolescent and Young Adult Therapist for Gateway. In her free time, Mariah is dedicated to being a lifelong learner, engaging with the community, and advocating for increased representation of wellness providers of color
